602 Ride

The 6:02 Ride (High-Performance Training) Info on IG @the6.02

What it is: A structured, high-intensity training ride aimed at Cat 1-3 racers, aspiring racers, and very strong recreational riders. It often serves as a slightly more structured, but still very hard, alternative to the CAC ride.

When & Where:

Wednesday evenings in the summer, starting exactly at 6:02 PM

Start Location: English Bay, Laughing Statues.

Regrouping: The 6:02 is known to regroup after specific segment efforts (like Grouse sign to sign). This means that riders who get dropped on a climb have a chance to rejoin the main group at the end of the segment.

It tends to be organized and it has stablished route and set efforts, making it a valuable place for structured training.

License: It is strongly recommended that participants hold a Cycling BC license for insurance purposes, closer tie to the organized racing community.

While it is very fast and requires a high level of fitness, regrouping makes it more accessible to high-level riders who will struggle to stay with the absolute fastest riders on every segment.
