Jeremy’s Roubaix is a rugged, scenic, and often muddy spring classic that takes place in Pitt Meadows.
The race was originally known as the Harris Roubaix, and was renamed to honor Jeremy Storie, a legendary Canadian cycling coach and mentor who was a fixture in the BC racing community. The event continues to serve as a tribute to his contributions to the sport.
Location: 17130 Barnes Road, Pitt Meadows | Ridge Meadows BMX track
Organizer: Local Ride Racing.
🚴 The Course: "Gravel & Dykes"
Unlike the paved circuits of Wix Brown or Thunderbird, Jeremy’s Roubaix is famous for its mixed paved and gravel surfaces.
The Terrain: The race uses a 10 km loop that is roughly 50% paved rural farm roads and 50% gravel dyke paths (the Pitt Meadows Dyke system).
The Surface: While it is technically a "road race," the gravel sections can be bumpy, dusty, or muddy depending on the weather.
Bike Choice: Most riders use standard road bikes with slightly wider, durable tires (28mm or 32mm are popular), though it is increasingly categorized as a "gravel-edge" road event.
