Murchie Circuit is another highlight of the Lower Mainland’s spring road racing season. Murchie is famously known as a "rollercoaster". Shorter, punchier, and much more technical.
For 2026, it is part of the Thrashers Spring Series.
Location: Intersection of Murchie Rd and 8th Ave in South Langley.
Organizer: Thrashers Bike Club.
🚴 The Course: "The Rollercoaster"
The Murchie course is a 6 km clockwise loop that is notoriously grippy. Unlike a standard rectangle, this circuit has more "lumps, bends, and twists."
The Terrain: It features short, steep kickers (including the "Murchberg" or Murchie kicker) and undulating country roads.
The Vibe: It favors "opportunists". Riders who can handle frequent changes in pace and explosive climbs rather than just pure aerobic power on the flats.
Technicality: It’s known for having more turns and dips than other local circuits, making positioning critical.
